Privacy policy

The short version: no accounts, no cookies, no advertising, and only aggregate, cookieless visit statistics.

What we collect

This site has no user accounts, comments, newsletters or forms. We do not set cookies. To understand which guides are read, we use privacy-first, cookieless analytics provided by our hosting network. It counts page views, referring sites, browser type, country and similar aggregate figures without cookies and without building a profile of you. We cannot use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with any other data.

Server and security logs

Like every website, the servers that deliver this site process technical data such as IP addresses, request times and user agents to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and operational purposes and are not used for marketing.

Stored on your device

If you choose a dark or light theme, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage so the next page uses it. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. The copy link button uses your browser's clipboard only when you press it.

The share links at the end of our guides are plain links. Nothing is loaded from any social network until you click one, at which point you are taken to that network, whose own privacy policy applies.

Email

If you write to the editor, we use your address and message only to reply and to improve our guides. We keep correspondence for as long as needed for that purpose and delete it on request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to object to processing. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests concern email correspondence. Contact us through the contact page. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Former MashShare customers

This site did not inherit any customer accounts, orders or licence data from the store that previously operated at this address, and it has no access to such records.

Who is responsible

The editor of mashshare.net is responsible for this site and this policy. Questions about how data is handled can be sent through the contact page, and we answer them within one month.
